AAT ICAS 2064 ✧ conformance level C

document note: this document is part of the Integrated Chronological Applications System (ICAS). Alliance for the Advancement of Technology (AAT) provides ICAS standards documents subject to terms of use described in document AAT ICAS 9010. please refer to other key AAT ICAS standards documents accessible via the AAT ICAS web site at http://www.aatideas.org/icas for important information about ICAS.

this document describes some ideas under consideration for use in a future specification of an ICAS in use conformance level C.

for the time being AAT ICAS has not yet specified a conformance level C. yet AAT ICAS is committed to continuing to find ways to improve ICAS standards. in any case a conformance level C may be of special interest to larger organizations with a goal of more clear and more concise communication of calendar and clock information. interested parties are encouraged to look to other organizational initiatives (such as open-source or accessibility resources) in the process of finding or developing good or best practices for presenting or using calendar and clock information.

there are not yet many automated ICAS conformance validation resources. however licensees may be able to configure some existing validation resources (spell checks, spreadsheets, and so forth). although computers can automate the processing of information that can be cumbersome for users, computers must first be programmed and then operated for specific tasks. whether the processing of information is done by users or is automated, interchange-readiness might be one of the single-most valuable methodologies for the enhancement of productivity and the management of quality with regard to information processing tasks.
