this page is the source for official AAT ICAS web clocks. use or distribution of clocks or source code is permitted subject to 'ICAS in use' and ICAS licensing. see source code for additional information. it is ok to use these web clocks for web pages, however AAT does not provide individual user help related to installing or customizing the applet. please see Sun's Java Technology for additional information about Java.

introduction to DialTiros
DialTiros shows a local decimal time calculated from your computer clock (typically referencing a duration of 1 day coordinated). the decimal dial differs from the seconds, minutes, and hours (SMH) dial that you are used to.
- the major unit pointer (big hand) increments each tiros (hundredth of a day), and completes a phase in 1 day.
- the minor unit pointer (little hand) increments each tok (hundredth of a tiros), and completes a phase in 1 tiros.
- the subminor unit pointer (tik hand) increments each tik (tenth of a tok), and completes a phase in 1 millichron (1000th of a fixed-day).
a quick way to read the dial is to find the major unit value, and then determine the millichron and tok from the minor unit pointer.
1.0 tikXn (tikochron) is exactly 0.864 s (second). for additional information about decimal and SMH unit magnitudes, go to the AAT ICAS standards area of this site.

configuring DialTiros 0.03 Java applets
DialTiros 0.03 is a clock that runs as a Java applet, and can be configured for web pages in terms of the following parameters:
- the background color (bgcolor)
- the dial face image (dface1)
- the major unit color (fgcolor1)
- the minor unit color (fgcolor2)
- the subminor unit color (fgco0lor3)
- the ICAS text color (fgcolor4)
- and the customary text color (fgcolor5)
the color parameters are specified as hexadecimal RGB numbers (for example, "0000ff"). the applet is coded for a 400 by 400 px dial face image.
- "images/dialTiros-400-ab90.gif" is low-contrast graphics on white background. (default)
- "images/dialTiros-400-ab60.gif" is medium-contrast graphics on white background.
- "images/dialTiros-400-ba90.gif" is light graphics on "000033" violet background.
- or create a custom background image with reference to ICAS specifications.
