overview of ICAS now
this document describes conditions and guidelines for claiming conformance to uses of 'ICAS now' open-source resources. questions or comments relating to 'ICAS now' conformance may be addressed to icas@aatideas.org or via other designated methods for contacting AAT ICAS.
special usage note: ICAS now expressions can be represented as ICAS now, 'ICAS now', or "ICAS now" as appropriate for clear communication of the open source resources.

conditions for use of 'ICAS now' logo—
ICAS developers and users are granted limited permission to use the 'ICAS now' logo, or alternatively the "ICAS now" alt text, as ICAS licensees in accordance with AAT ICAS 2027, to indicate a claim of conformance to 'ICAS now' subject to the following conditions:
claims of conformance with 'ICAS now' are also subject to the conditions specified for the generic ICAS in use level of conformance. ICAS licensees claiming conformance with ICAS now must agree to abide by the conditions of conformance with the generic ICAS in use logo specified in AAT ICAS 2061.
licensees claiming ICAS now conformance must indicate adherence to all of the conditions of conformance by one of the following methods:
- reference use of the 'ICAS now' logo via hyperlink to http://www.aatideas.org/iota/icas/icas-now.xht now ICAS page.
- incorporate a text reference such as "built with 'ICAS now' open-source resources per http://www.aatideas.org/iota/icas/icas-now.xht" or "includes 'ICAS now' open-source resources per terms referenced at http://www.aatideas.org/iota/icas/icas-now.xht now ICAS page".
- incorporate the text of the conditions for conformance as reference information accessible via methods corresponding to the scope of use.
- incorporate alternative text that satisfies all of the conditions referenced here for the use of the 'ICAS now' logo, as reference information accessible via methods corresponding to the scope of use.

the essential module of an 'ICAS now' open source development is a required statement of terms of use for 'ICAS' now, that must be included in source code or terms of use documents:

- open-source development implementations of ICAS including AppleScript, ECMAScript (Javascript), and Java are not designed for fault tolerance nor are intended for use in high-risk situations calling for fault tolerant software/hardware systems.
